ACM brings together computing educators, researchers, and professionals to inspire dialogue, share resources, and address the field's challenges. As the world’s largest computing society, ACM strengthens the profession's collective voice through strong leadership, promotion of the highest standards, and recognition of technical excellence. ACM supports the professional growth of its members by providing opportunities for life-long learning, career development, and professional networking.


Founded in 1979, the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) (formerly the American Association for Artificial Intelligence) is a nonprofit scientific society devoted to advancing the scientific understanding of the mechanisms underlying thought and intelligent behavior and their embodiment in machines. AAAI aims to promote research in, and responsible use of, artificial intelligence. AAAI also aims to increase public understanding of artificial intelligence, improve the teaching and training of AI practitioners, and provide guidance for research planners and funders concerning the importance and potential of current AI developments and future directions. 

 

The Association for Women in Computing (AWC) was founded in Washington, D.C. in 1978 and is one of the first professional organizations for women in computing. AWC is dedicated to promoting the advancement of women in the computing professions. Our members include many types of computer professionals, such as programmers, system analysts, operators, technical writers, Internet specialists, trainers and consultants. The purpose of AWC is to provide opportunities for professional growth through networking and through programs on technical and career-oriented topics. AWC encourages high standards of competence and promotes a professional attitude among its members. We are governed by a board of directors representing all of the local chapters. 

 

Founded in 1972, CRA’s membership includes more than 200 North American organizations active in computing research: academic departments of computer science, information, and computer engineering, laboratories and centers (industry, government, and academia), and affiliated professional societies (AAAI, ACM, CS-Can/Info-Can, IEEE Computer Society, SIAM, USENIX).

To be known as a leading organization of Scientific & Technological information resources for supporting Research & Development leading to sustainable socio-economic development in the country. Committed to serve Scientific and Technological Information needs of R&D and Industrial Community through Anticipatory and Responsive Information Services. Information plays a fundamental role for Scientific, Technological and Economic development of a country. Realizing the importance of potential role that Scientific Information plays, government of Pakistan with the assistance of UNESCO established (1957) Pakistan National Scientific and Technical Documentation Centre (PANSDOC) under the Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (PCSIR), Karachi to cater to the Scientific Community needs such as Procurement of Documents, Compilation of Bibliographies, Abstracting, Indexing and Technical Translations. An expanded project namely Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC) was launched (1974) around the nucleus of PANSDOC and was transferred from PCSIR to Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), Islamabad. Presently, PASTIC is functioning as subsidiary of PSF, an autonomous organization under Ministry of Science & Technology. PASTIC is the premier organization in the field of S&T Information and is serving thousands of researchers and other professionals through its specialised information services. Scopes and facilities of PASTIC were expanded after transferring to PSF.


NCEAC is a recognized accreditator of universities and their programs in Pakistan. It ensures the quality of education students receive in Universities and Institutions. It provides world leader ship in assuring quality and in stimulating innovation in applied sciences, computing, engineering and technology education. NCEAC serves the public through the promotion and advancement of education.

  • NCEAC will assure quality in computing degree programs in educational institutions. It would require an educational institution or program to meet certain defined standards or criteria.
  • Accreditation by NCEAC shall be a mandatory process for all relevant academic programs offered by public and private sector institution.
  • Fostering the intellectual development of students interested in pursuing computing profession.
  • Ensures transparency of comparable study programs.
