The American Society of Health Economists (ASHEcon) is a professional organization dedicated to promoting excellence in health economics research in the United States. ASHEcon provides a forum for emerging ideas and empirical results of health economics research. The major activity through which ASHEcon achieves its mission is conducting a meeting in the US. ASHEcon is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of a highly distinguished group of health economists from all parts of the United States.

The IEA was founded in 1950 as a Non Governmental Organization, at the instigation of the Social Sciences Department of UNESCO. It has since its creation maintained information and consultative relations with UNESCO and is since 1973 a federated member of the International Social Science Council. Its aim from the beginning has been to promote personal contacts and mutual understanding among economists in different parts of the world through the organization of scientific meetings, through common research programs and by means of publications of an international character on problems of current importance.

The American Law and Economics Association is dedicated to the advancement of economic understanding of law and related areas of public policy and regulation. Founded in 1991, the membership includes academic and practicing lawyers and economists. The Association holds an annual two-day meeting in May at which members present papers dealing with a wide variety of topics concerning the interrelation of law and economics. Since 1999, the Association has published the American Law and Economics Review, a refereed journal.

Once composed primarily of college and university professors in economics, the American Economic Association (AEA) now attracts 20,000+ members from academe, business, government, and consulting groups within diverse disciplines from multi-cultural backgrounds. All are professionals or graduate-level students dedicated to economics research and teaching. Pakistan Society of development Economists (PSDE) is the only Pakistani professional association of economists and other social scientists. It provides an institutional framework for professional and research development. The society was formed in 1982 and located at the premises of Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PDE). The Society provides a platform for academics and policy-makers for exchange of ideas on the pressing economic and social problems facing Pakistan. It provide an important forum through Annual General Meeting and Conference for economic professionals, policymakers, businessmen and various schools of interested observers for debate concerning development issues.

Pakistan Home Economics Association is a non profit educational association formed in 1956 by Dr. Mrs. Zahida Amjad Ali. After being dormant for some time, through the cooperation of a founder member Mrs Saeeda Baquer Khan it was revived in year 2007 to play its role in the emancipation of the field. The foremost objectives of the association are: promotion of education and research in the field of Home Economics and contributing to the betterment of individual families and community.
