We develop, recognise and celebrate professional capabilities. We bring people together to spark new ideas and new partnerships. We support teachers to inspire future generations of scientists. And we speak up to influence the people making decisions that affect us all. We are a catalyst for the chemistry that enriches our world.

What others see as challenges, we see as opportunities to solve some of the world’s biggest problems.

The Chemical Society of Pakistan (CSP) was established in 1968 and its first extraordinary meeting held on 20th of Jan. 1968 in which aims & objectives of the society were defined and appointment of the office bearers made to start working of the society. It was also decided to write a constitution and get the society registered with the appropriate authorities. The first executive council of the society had Prof. Dr. Khawaja Salah-Ud-Din, Prof. Dr. Riaz-Ur-Rahman and Prof. Dr. M.I. D. Chughtai as President, Secretary and Treasurer respectively. After this initial enthusiasm and activities, the society remained a little bit dormant and, then, its activities revived in late eighties with Prof. Dr. M. A. Kazi, Dr. Aejaz Ahmad Malik and Prof. Dr. G. A. Miana as President, Secretary General and Treasurer of the society respectively. After this the society managed to establish a tradition of holding regular elections after every three years to select the new executive with a few occasions of logically minor delays. Further on the office bearers of the Society included names such as Prof. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman, Prof. Dr. Zafar H. Zaidi, Prof. Dr. Viqar-uddin and Prof. Dr. Roshan Ahmad as Presidents, Prof. Dr. G. A Miana, Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, and Dr. Din Mohammad as Secretary Generals and Prof. Dr. Noor Ahmad, Prof. Dr. Rasul Jan and Dr. Farnaz Malik as treasurers respectively. The Present executive includes Dr. Din Mohammad, Dr. Khalid M. Khan and Prof. Dr. Jamil Anwar as President, Secretary General and Treasurer of the Society respectively.

Pathology is the backbone of Pakistan health system. Pathology Pakistan is the national peak body for private pathology in Pakistan. Our members include both small specialized laboratories as well as large corporations with laboratories nationwide. PSCP members provide a majority of all community-based pathology services in Pakistan.

Pakistan Chemicals & Dyes Merchants Association registered with Directorate General of Trade Organization Ministry of Commerce Government of Pakistan is affiliated with Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The Association promote the business activities of its members in a world coming increasingly complex. The Association aspire to provide services based on activities of its member adhering to simple basics of good service but also added value to their activities.

Is to become an apex central to the political and regulatory process of the chemical industry of Pakistan. Is to be valued and trusted by the Government, academia and community at large Is to enhance the economic health of the Pakistan chemical industry and its related businesses


To be known as a leading organization of Scientific & Technological information resources for supporting Research & Development leading to sustainable socio-economic development in the country. Committed to serve Scientific and Technological Information needs of R&D and Industrial Community through Anticipatory and Responsive Information Services. Information plays a fundamental role for Scientific, Technological and Economic development of a country. Realizing the importance of potential role that Scientific Information plays, government of Pakistan with the assistance of UNESCO established (1957) Pakistan National Scientific and Technical Documentation Centre (PANSDOC) under the Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (PCSIR), Karachi to cater to the Scientific Community needs such as Procurement of Documents, Compilation of Bibliographies, Abstracting, Indexing and Technical Translations. An expanded project namely Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC) was launched (1974) around the nucleus of PANSDOC and was transferred from PCSIR to Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), Islamabad. Presently, PASTIC is functioning as subsidiary of PSF, an autonomous organization under Ministry of Science & Technology. PASTIC is the premier organization in the field of S&T Information and is serving thousands of researchers and other professionals through its specialised information services. Scopes and facilities of PASTIC were expanded after transferring to PSF.
