The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945. It is currently made up of 193 Member States. The mission and work of the United Nations are guided by the purposes and principles contained in its founding Charter. The name "United Nations", coined by United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt was first used in the Declaration by United Nations of 1 January 1942, during Second World War.

UNICEF works in the world’s toughest places to reach the most disadvantaged children and adolescents – and to protect the rights of every child, everywhere. Across more than 190 countries and territories, we do whatever it takes to help children survive, thrive and fulfill their potential, from early childhood through adolescence. The world’s largest provider of vaccines, we support child health and nutrition, safe water and sanitation, quality education and skill building, HIV prevention and treatment for mothers and babies, and the protection of children and adolescents from violence and exploitation.

As the national organization for sociologists, the American Sociological Association, through its Executive Office, is well positioned to provide a unique set of services to its members and to promote the vitality, visibility, and diversity of the discipline. Working at the national and international levels, the Association aims to articulate policy and implement programs likely to have the broadest possible impact for sociology now and in the future.

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is a global humanitarian network of 80 million people that helps those facing disaster, conflict and health and social problems. It consists of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the 191 National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust is a national, independent, non-parochial academic institution for projecting the Ideology of Pakistan as enunciated by our Founding Fathers, Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It was established in 1992 by Punjab’s then Chief Minister Ghulam Haider Wyne along with other veterans of Pakistan Movement.

The Society in its working draws inspiration from seven fundamental principles of the ‘Movement’, namely: Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity and Universality. Pakistan Red Crescent (PRC) is a statutory body constituted and governed by an “Act of Parliament”. It was founded in Pakistan on December 20, 1947 by an Order called “The Pakistan Red Cross Order” issued by Quaid-e-Azam, as Governor General of Pakistan and Founding President of the Society.


Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan is one of the leading, non-profit organization, fully dedicated to humanitarian services since 1990. Alkhidmat workers and volunteers continue to work tirelessly for the relief of affected people across Pakistan and worldwide. Our dedicated services include disaster management, health services, education, orphan care, clean water, Mawakhat (interest-free loan) and other community services.


Established in 1986, as a national, non-profit, non-governmental organization under the Societies' Registration Act 1860, Aurat Publication and Information Service Foundation (Aurat Foundation/AF) is committed to create widespread awareness and commitment for a just, democratic and caring society in Pakistan, where women and men are recognised as equals, with the right to lead their lives with self-respect and dignity. Over the last 30 years, Aurat Foundation has come to be recognised nationally and internationally as one of the leading institutions creating, facilitating and strengthening civil society groups and networks for promoting trust and collaboration among citizens to mobilize public pressure for women’s empowerment in the country.

Akhuwat is the world’s largest Islamic micro-finance organization. Since 2001, Akhuwat has been working for poverty alleviation by empowering socially and economically marginalized segments of the society through its various poverty alleviation projects. Akhuwat aims to alleviate poverty by creating a bond of solidarity between the affluent and the marginalized. Our goal is to develop and sustain a social system based on mutual support. Akhuwat not only helps and support the poor to become self-reliant but combined with their own hard work enable them to escape the clutches of poverty.

The ultimate aim of HOPE is Community Development through self-sufficiency of the community. The members of HOPE are working along with community volunteers who are organized in Community Based Organizations (CBO'S). All activities in the community are planned in co-ordination with the CBO'S and implemented in the community through the CBO'S. Hence, the community becomes SELF- SUFFICIENT and the community development work is SUSTAINABLE.


Dastak’s mission is to support women and children who are victims of violence or of denial of human rights and fundamental freedoms and to make available to them adequate protection and support services in situations of crisis. These services are directed towards facilitating their access to justice through provision of legal aid and other necessary interventions to ensure their protection, care and rehabilitation.
