National Journals

Primarily being a medical journal, JPMA publishes scholarly research focusing on the various fields in the areas of health and medical education. It publishes original research describing recent advances in health particularly clinical studies, clinical trials, assessments of pathogens of diagnostic importance, medical genetics and epidemiological studies. Review articles highlighting importance of various issues in the domain of public health, drug research and medical education are also accepted. As a leading journal of South Asia, JPMA remains cognizant of the recent advances in the rapidly growing fields of biomedical sciences, it invites and encourages scholars to write short reviews and invited editorials on the emerging issues. We particularly aim to promote health standards of developing countries by encouraging manuscript submissions on issues affecting the public health and health delivery services.

Journal of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (JCPSP) is the official journal of The College of Physician and Surgeons Pakistan which is the premier postgraduate medical institution of Pakistan established in 1962 under an act of Parliament. Initially the College followed the parameters of Royal Colleges of UK and Ireland. CPSP awards postgraduate qualifications of Fellowships and Memberships at present in 74 different specialties of medical sciences, upon successful completion of prescribed training and passing of relevant examinations.

The Journal of Pakistan Association of Dermatologists is the official journal the Pakistan. It is published quarterly, four issues per volume and one volume per year (ISSN 1560-9014). The journal is recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and is indexed in:

It is a peer reviewed medical journal published regularly since 1984. It was previously known as quarterly "SPECIALIST" till December 31st 1999. It publishes original research articles, review articles, current practices, short communications & case reports. It attracts manuscripts not only from within Pakistan but also from over fifty countries from abroad.

Journal of Pakistan Dental Association is the (JPDA) the official scientific journal of Pakistan Dental Association (PDA). It is published quarterly. A double-blind peer review system is followed to ensure a high quality of publications. In addition to that, each publication undergoes a plagiarism check with Turnitin. ISRA Medical Journal (IMJ) is owned by the ISRA University, Pakistan. IMJ came into existence in 2009. It is a bi-monthly published, multi-disciplinary, peer reviewed, open access journal. We have a team of highly qualified editorial board members who are dedicated to meet and improve the standards of Journal as per the laid International guidelines. In addition, we are maintaining a multidisciplinary reviewers bank, which comprises of dedicated national and international researchers and subject specialists, who strive their best to evaluate the manuscript in the shortest possible time. Other than the eJManager (online submission and journal managing system), the journal has its own dedicated website, where all previous, current issues and ahead of printing manuscripts are available with an open access permitted to everyone. 

The Professional Medical Journal (TPMJ) is a monthly journal for medical professionals. It is non-political, being published for improvements and sharing of the knowledge in human sciences. It is hoped to improve the understanding of disease and care of ill & ailing people. All manuscripts are subjected to extensive review by a panel of national & international referees. Acceptance of manuscripts depends on their quality, originality and relevance to the journal’s scope. TPMJ is an open access medical journal. Everybody is allowed free access to all parts of its publications. 

The Annals of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (APIMS) is new quarterly journal of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS Islamabad). It is new version of merged JPIMS and the Journal of Surgery Previously published by PIMS and is already approved by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, Pakistan. Therefore, all accepted and published article will get the necessary credit. The journal accepts manuscripts submitted in accordance with Uniform requirements for Biomedical journals published in the British Medical Journal 1991; 334-41.

Pakistan Journal of Pharmacy is an official biannual peer-reviewed publication of the University College of Pharmacy, University of the Punjab, Lahore (Pakistan). Full length original articles (not exceeding 10 printed pages) or short papers (not exceeding 4 printed pages) and letter to Editor are considered for publication in the Journal. The Journal accepts manuscript in any of the fields of Pharmacy or experimental medicine. The Journal also publishes reviews, usually by invitation and is available for publication of pharmaceutical symposium/conference proceedings. The Journal will not responsible for the opinions of the authors expressed in and the authenticity and correctness of the published articles.

Punjab University Journal of Zoology is continuation of old (irregular) series of the publication by the Department of Zoology, University of the Punjab, Lahore. Currently it is 6 monthly Journal covering all aspects of animal and biomedical sciences.
The journal replaced the irregular publication “Bulletin of the Department of Zoology (New Series)”, which ceased its publication in 1983. This Bulletin (New Series) was the replacement of “Bulletin of Department of Zoology, First Published in 1931.

The Pakistan Journal of Medical Research (PJMR) is the official journal of the Pakistan Health Research Council (PHRC). The journal publishes original work in the fields of biomedical and clinical research, as well as, different aspects of public health contributed by the research projects sponsored by both the PHRC and other organizations. The first issue of Pakistan Journal of Medical Research Volume 1, No.1 was published in July, 1958. The journal could not be published in 1960, therefore, issue No. 4 of the same volume was published in January, 1961. Since 1962, the journal has been published regularly, on a quarterly basis. It is distributed to all major medical institutions and libraries within the country and abroad. We are receiving approximately 60 medical journals through reciprocal basis, including 35 from abroad and about 25 from local publications.

Advancements in Life Sciences provides free platform for the fast peer-reviewed publication of articles covering novel and innovative aspects of biological sciences. Including full length research articles and short communications, we accept material in other categories too view other submission materials. This Journal publishes articles falling in the scope of “life sciences” ranging from molecular biological or genetic discoveries to biochemical systems and new microbiological concepts in human, veterinary and plant sciences. Multidisciplinary research articles, providing novel insight and original information, that would not be publishable in single discipline devoted journals are welcomed particularly in this journal for publication.
